Service · digital twins
Digital twins of your assets.
We scan your mine, fleet or plant and connect its 3D model to operating data. You see the real condition of each piece of equipment, analyze its behavior and anticipate failures before they stop the operation.
What a digital twin is
A digital twin is a virtual copy of a physical asset (a mine, a vessel, a plant or a piece of equipment) that is kept up to date with real data. It is not just a 3D model: the model is connected to the operation’s sensors and systems, and shows how the asset is now and how it has changed.
It is built in three layers: the real geometry, which we measure with laser scanners, LiDAR, drones or ROVs; the information on each piece of equipment (drawings, manuals, datasheets and maintenance); and operating data from IoT sensors, SCADA or the ERP. With all three together, the twin is used to inspect remotely, plan and decide.
What it is for
Where we apply it
-
Mining
The pit and the fleet with real-time data, production indicators and planning scenarios, on screen or in mixed reality.
-
Fleets and vessels
Each scanned vessel in Yakuscan Twin, with its equipment, documents and maintenance history.
-
Industrial plants
Pipes, tanks and equipment with their sensors in Indutwin: levels, pressures and alerts on the model.
-
Predictive maintenance
Anomaly detection and maintenance based on each piece of equipment’s actual condition, not just the calendar.
Process
How we build a digital twin
- 01
Scope and data
We define which asset is digitized, which decisions it must support and what data exists today: sensors, SCADA, ERP, drawings and maintenance records.
- 02
Scan and 3D model
We capture the real geometry with laser, LiDAR, drones or ROVs and turn it into a lightweight 3D model organized by equipment.
- 03
Data integration
We connect the model to the operation’s sensors and systems, and link each piece of equipment to its documents and history.
- 04
Dashboards and daily use
We publish the twin on desktop, web, mobile or mixed reality, with the indicators and alerts your team needs, and train them to use it.
Deliverables
What it includes
Each twin is built for its asset. Typically:
- 3D model of the asset from the scan
- Equipment inventory on the model
- Integration with IoT sensors, SCADA or ERP
- Indicator and alert dashboard
- Drawings, manuals and datasheets for each piece of equipment
- Maintenance and inspection history
- Web and mobile access
- Mixed reality with HoloLens 2 (optional)
Platforms
A digital twin for each sector
| Platform | Sector | What it shows |
|---|---|---|
| MinexDT | Mining | The open-pit operation with real-time data, scenario simulation and predictive maintenance |
| MiningMX | Mining | The pit and the fleet on the table with HoloLens 2: production indicators and blasting risk zones |
| Yakuscan Twin | Marine | The scanned vessel with its equipment, documents, maintenance and measurements |
| Indutwin | Industry | The scanned plant with its sensors, real-time monitoring and alerts |

FAQ
What clients ask us most.
What is the difference between a 3D model and a digital twin?
A 3D model shows the asset’s shape at one moment. A digital twin stays up to date: it is connected to operating data and to the information on each piece of equipment, and shows its current condition and history.
Do I need sensors installed?
Not to start. A twin can begin with the scanned model, the equipment inventory and its documents and maintenance records. Sensors, SCADA or the ERP are integrated later, in stages.
Which systems does it integrate with?
With IoT sensors and control systems such as SCADA, and with the ERP or maintenance system you already use. We define the integration based on the data available in your operation.
How does it help predictive maintenance?
By bringing together each piece of equipment’s data and history in one place, the twin detects abnormal behavior and lets you plan maintenance based on its actual condition, before it fails.
Where can it be viewed?
In the browser and on mobile, on desktop and, if you need it, in mixed reality with HoloLens 2 to review the asset to scale on the table.
Does it work for a mine in operation?
Yes. MinexDT is designed for open-pit operations: it integrates the fleet and production indicators, and lets you simulate scenarios without stopping the operation.
